Haltom City Christian Church is independent and non-denominational. We seek to be a church patterned after the New Testament.

We Believe

there is one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

Jesus Christ is God's Son, who lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, was raised from the dead, and is coming again. (Henrews 4:15, I Corinhthians 15:3-4, John 14:13)

the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is our authority for all matters of faith and daily living. (2 Timothy 3:16 - 17)

everyone has sinned and is deserving of death. (Romans 3:23; 6:23)

salvation, from the consequences of sin, is made possible through the death of Christ on the cross. That is, He bears the penalty of our sins. (Romans 5:8 - 9)

that we cannot earn salvation. It is a gift offered to those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

that the process of salvation includes faith, repentance and baptism by immersion. (Acts 2:38; 16:31)

that God's presence is placed into our lives, in the form of the Holy Spirirt, upon our baptism into Christ. The purpose of the Spirit's presence in our lives is for guidance, comfort, and assistance in prayer. (Ephesians 1:13-14, Romans 8:26)

the Church is a family of believers, the body of Christ. ( 1 Corinthians 2:27)

Christians have the privilege of approaching God in prayer, believeing that He hears and answers. (Ephesians 6:18, James 5:16)

that Communion should be observed weekly and is our central focus of worship in our Sunday morning services. (Acts 20:7)
